How was CKbyMichelle born?
Create Kalash by Michelle was born from a mother's dream of becoming an entrepreneur and the desire to maintain a legacy for her daughters Kamila and Lashley. Create Kalash by Michelle, is a small company from San Germán. It is dedicated to making natural products for skin care, combining native fruits and plants with unique aromas and essences. Offering our male and female clients a feeling of relaxation, health, well-being and exclusivity that they so much need at bath time.
Each product is made with a purpose, in honor of a special being, with great respect and meaning. We do NOT sell soaps, I will tell you part of my story or experiences in a soap.
This is why we prefer a natural alternative and this one is full of commitment, quality, difference, exclusivity and above all creativity, you can be sure that each formula is created for naturally radiant skin like the MOON; all created by Puerto Rican hands, certified by the Craft Program of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce of Puerto Rico.
The face behind CKbyMichelle
Hello! My name is Widelisse Michelle, I am a certified artisan, a mother of two, a wife, a dreamer, among many things. I was born in Mayagüez, PR. But I am Sangermeña by choice.
Despite all the limitations within my family and residential environment, I always liked being different. I loved studying and learning new things. I always admired my older brothers, hard-working men with their own businesses. I wanted to be like them! Entrepreneur. From my dad I inherited the sales techniques, that gentleman closed deals from whatever it was to whoever it was. From my mom I got determined and strong despite her handicaps. So with these bases I got down to work, since I was sixteen years old I have been working to achieve my dream of being an entrepreneur.
At the end of 2019, I had begun to formalize a company totally different from Create , but when the year 2020 arrived, I had to put my life on pause like perhaps many of us, first the tremors and then the pandemic. That year 2020 was one full of challenges, changes, losses, adaptations and processes for me and for many of us, in the midst of all this I began to educate myself online, from project management , business management, personal finance, public speaking , and some more . All with the same purpose to be able to start that project that had had to be put on pause. Sadly, during the pandemic, the sister who gave me life lost her mother, news that took us all by surprise. And it is she who motivates me to educate myself in saponification, she told me and I quote: "I'm going to give you everything mommy had of candles and soaps, I don't want to throw it away, I know you'll do it well", after that conversation I made a Research for me was something refreshing, I could create and unite several of the knowledge I have acquired, also impact the economy of my country and above all I found peace. Immediately, I formally educated myself and I can finally say that I found my passion, so much so that I decided to certify myself as a Puerto Rican artisan with the Artisan Program of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce of Puerto Rico. It has not been an easy process, it has taken time, a lot of dedication and effort.
After my certification, CKbyMichelle was born on July 12, 2021. We formalized on January 22, 2022.
This is my story and I can tell you that undertaking is a lonely path only until you decide to get out of your conformity and look for the right team. Today, despite everything, CKbyMichelle is my refuge, I give my best so that they obtain natural products that are high quality, accessible, beautiful and of great value and inspiration.
I just have to reinvent myself!
Our logo
The Moon represents a special being that came into my life and that of my family, in the pandemic we rescued a beautiful cat with her black fur, white mole and yellow eyes. The attached star is its location in the sky, since my Moon is no longer with us.
